Renée Thorp was raised on the Gulf side of central Florida, moved with her family to the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii when she was 13 years old, found her way to Bellingham, WA in the spring of 2019, and is now working remotely for Concept Design. While living in Bellingham, Renée pursued an Associates’ Degree in Visual Communications at Whatcom Community College. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, Renée discontinued the program and started working as the Graphic Designer for the Associated Students of Whatcom Community College. Simultaneously, Renée was working part-time as an Assistant Cartographer designing maps for recreational use. She continues her education by immersing herself in various creative projects within her community.
Renée finds joy in singing, dancing, surfing, and yoga. She is passionate about the wellbeing of others, sharing stories, and practicing radical awareness. In her free time, she forages for wild mushrooms, practices handstands, and goes on long hikes.
What drives Renée in her creative pursuit is to tell stories, ignite interest, inspire participation, and share talents through the art of video production.
